AP Psychology is a high school class that teaches you about how people think, feel, and behave.
You learn topics like:
- Brain and nervous system
- how your brain controls your body and thoughts
- Memory and learning – how you remember things and learn new skills
- Development – how people change from babies to adults
- Mental disorders – conditions like anxiety or depression and how they are treated
- Social behavior – why people act differently around other
At the end, students can take the AP exam. If you do well, some colleges may give you credit for an intro psychology course.

Vocab is the backbone of AP psychology and it is where most of your time while studying psychology should be spent. Make sure you study the units that will be most heavily tested on such as research methods and biological basis of behavior. You should prepare to take 75 multiple choice questions (MCQ) and two free response questions (FRQ).
